Our morning practices begin tomorrow! See schedule below

June 9th - June 23rd Monday-Thursday

We WILL practice on meet days during these dates

• Shrimpers (6 & under)- 8-8:30am
• 7/8s- 8:30-9:15am
• 9/10s- 9:15-10am
• 11& up- 10:00-10:45am

We have some exciting dates coming up this week! Thanks to Cara Barnwell for organizing!

-Tuesday morning 6/10 the Detour Coffee Truck will be at practice 8-11am! Tell your neighbors to stop by! They have yummy coffee and breakfast treats!

-Wednesday 6/11 is Chipotle (Waverly) spirit night 4-8pm. Skip cooking dinner, have dinner with teammates and support the Water Jets!

-Be sure to come to practice on Thursday 6/12 for a fun treat for the swimmers that Cara arranged!

INFO FROM MILLBRIDGE FOR TOMORROW’S MEET:

Welcome from the MillBridge Marlins! We are very excited to have your team at our pool. We hope you enjoy your time here as much as we do!

1. Address – We are located at 1401 MillBridge Parkway, Waxhaw, NC 28173. We are located off of Kensington Road near Kensington Elementary School.

2. Parking - There are plenty of parking spaces (184) in the pool parking lot. A majority of those spaces are for the visiting team. Please tell the parking attendant you are from the visiting team to access the lot. If our parking lot is full, please only park along MillBridge Parkway on the side of the road OPPOSITE the clubhouse. DO NOT block driveways in the neighborhood. There will be "No Parking" signs posted, and we will have someone on hand at the parking lot entrance to assist with parking and traffic.

3. Arrival Time - Visiting Team Warm-ups are from 5:35-5:50 p.m. You are welcome to arrive any time after 5:15 pm. Before that, we will be busy setting up for the swim meet.

4. Team Location – Your team will be set up to the left of the clubhouse, which will be on the pool entrance side. Someone will be on-site to greet you and direct you to your seating area. We suggest that you bring your own chairs, but we will have some available on your side as well. We do not allow parents, other than those volunteering, behind our blocks in the staging area to limit congestion and confusion.

5. Concessions – We will have a few concession options during the event. We encourage our families to purchase dinner at visiting pools to support your fundraising efforts, and we hope you will do the same for ours!

• Waxhaw Creamery - Breezeway/Entrance - Cash & Venmo
• Food Truck – Mister Greek Food Truck in the Clubhouse Parking Lot with amazing greek food and sides.
• MillBridge Marlins Snack Bar/Concession Stand - Accepts both Cash & Venmo - The snack bar/concession stand will probably serve Hamburgers, Cheeseburgers, and Hot Dogs but if we change we'll let you know. They will also have Chips, Candy, Snacks, Gatorade, Soda, and Water

6. Pool Rules -

• ONLY THE LAP POOL IS OPEN FOR OUR MEETS. The remainder of the pool, including the kiddie pool, lazy river, and slide, is CLOSED for the duration of the meet.
• No Glass or Alcohol is permitted at the pool

7. Diving - We have blocks and will utilize them. If your swimmers are not comfortable diving off them, they are welcome to dive off the side or start in the water. We will also utilize “dive overs”. Please instruct your swimmers finishing at the starting blocks to stay in the water until the next heat/event begins (unless it’s backstroke).

8. Clerk of Course - Located behind the starting blocks. We ask all our swimmers to write their last names on the right side of their upper back. It helps the Clerks see which kids are missing. We operate our Clerk of Course by lane rather than by heats.

9. Restrooms – They are located in the breezeway when you first enter the pool, on the right. We do not have showers in the restroom, however, we do have outdoor showers located next to the lifeguard house.
