Now for some IMPORTANT (and not so fun) announcements.... 

BEHAVIOR: 

- Last night - some of our swimmers were NOT on their best behavior. Many of our 12 and under boys had to be called out multiple times for how they were acting at the clerk of course. Coach Whitney and HOWJ Board members had to intervene several times and remind the kids how to behave (not pushing each other into the baby pool, horseplay, shoving, saying the wrong names to the clerks). This is NOT how we want to represent Hunter Oaks when we are at meets. PLEASE talk to your children about this behavior and/or go with them to the clerk if needed.

TRASH: 

- As we were leaving last night, several of our coaches and board members stayed behind to pick up at least 10 dinner plates, cups, straws, napkins etc that had been left along the back fence of our section. PLEASE check your area before leaving. This is not the job of our coaches and volunteers to clean up after our families. 

MEETS NEXT WEEK: 

Next week we travel to two away meets. These will be probably our biggest competition of the season. We expect our kids to be respectful and most importantly responsible for where they need to be when. It is not the coaches job to track swimmers down for their relays. If your child misses their race/relay -  they are letting their teammates down and will not be asked to swim in one the next meet. 

These meets are fun - and we are all for the kids being together and hanging out - but they must know the time / place to do so! As parents, we are asking for your help with this. We know we can do better! 

Finally, if you haven't declared your swimmers meet attendance for the meets next week - please do so ASAP.
