Hello Water Jets - We are excited for our first meet of the season tomorrow (Monday night). We will be traveling to Providence Downs. Please read this email for important reminders and some details below from Providence Downs. Events by athlete is attached and we will send the Heat Sheet once we receive it. 

SPORTSMANSHIP: Please encourage your swimmers to show good sportsmanship tomorrow night. Congratulate ALL swimmers on a job well done. We want to hear lots of cheering and encouragement for our Water Jets as well. Please also take extra care to clean up any trash before leaving the meet. 

RELAY ORDERS: Tomorrow some swimmers will be swimming in the Medley Relay. We didn't practice that in the Mock Meet. The Medley Relay order is as follows: Back/Breast/Fly/Free. So if your child is swimmer #3 in that relay - they will be swimming Fly. IM order is Fly/Back/Breast/Free. Feel free to write this on them if that helps ;-) 

ARRIVAL: Please arrive at the meet tomorrow by 5:15pm. Warm-ups for our team will begin promptly at 5:30pm and the meet will start at 6pm. If you are volunteering, please see the email from our volunteer coordinator Sarah Tate with those details/reminders. 

Important Details from Providence Downs: 

• We are located at 8723 Kentucky Derby Dr, 28173
• Visitors will need to enter the neighborhood via the Rea Rd entrance to Providence Downs using gate code #7227. This code will ONLY be good from 4:45pm-10:45pm on Monday, June 5th and it will only be valid at the above gate. 
• The parking lot will fill quickly, please encourage carpooling. Once the lot is full, please use Churchill Downs Drive or Kentucky Derby to park. We CAN NOT park on Kentucky Derby on the clubhouse side of the four way stop. This is a hazard for emergency vehicles. There will be cones displaying where no parking should occur. 
• Please also only park on one side of the street once the main lot is full. 
• Your team can set up on the far side of the pool. 
• You will have your own clerk of course benches as we plan to run separately.
• Please encourage parents to leave space for movement of timers. 
• We do have a professional starter and one USA swimming official for this meet.
• Concessions will be available for purchase including chick fil a, pizza, sunset slush and other basics. Cash and Venmo are accepted for payment. 
• Theme Night: Red/white/blue - please feel free to dress up accordingly.
