HOWJ: Volunteer Descriptions - please review!

Hello Water Jets Parents - Thank you ALL for your willingness to volunteer this season. Each meet takes 40+ volunteers to operate. We can't do this without you.

Please read this entire email for information regarding volunteer responsibilities.

At the meets where you are volunteering, please make arrangements to have your children with another adult. Please check-in and get a nametag at the Volunteer Check-in table no later than 5:30pm unless otherwise indicated.

Here are some FAQs about Volunteering:

WHAT DID I SIGN UP FOR? In case you need a reminder about what meets you volunteered for.... it's very easy to check! Simply log into Swimtopia (waterjets.swimtopia.com) and click your name in the upper right corner. Then click "My Account" and you will see your slots. Each family signed up for 4 volunteer slots (shrimper only parents have 3 slots).

WHAT IF I CAN'T VOLUNTEER? If your summer plans have changed and you can't fulfill your volunteer slots, YOU are responsible for finding someone to swap with you. Our wonderful volunteer coordinator, Sarah Tate can send you a complete list of who is volunteering for what. The best tactic is to either ask a friend or neighbor to swap with you, OR reach out to those who have signed up for your SAME position at a different meet. Once you have your swap figured out, email: [email protected] with the details of your swap so we can change it on the back-end. Again, we need everyone to participate to make this a successful season.

DO I HAVE TO STAY THE WHOLE TIME? These are full meet positions (aside from things like set-up, clean-up, ice runner etc). Because the meets are shorter (being virtual) you are expected to be there for the entire meet. Floaters should check in at the start of each meet, and be readily available throughout the entire meet.

WHAT IS MY JOB? Attached are the volunteer position explanations and the meet set-up details for those who volunteered for that. Some jobs are new this year, and some have changed -- please review carefully. All volunteers must check in by 5:30pm unless noted otherwise in the Volunteer Description attachment.

**Floaters- please make sure to review ALL job descriptions. We have a few open positions which means that floaters will likely be put to work**

If you have signed up to be the Stroke and Turn Judge please visit this YouTube link for an understanding of your responsibilities.

Throughout the season, if you have any questions regarding your volunteer position please direct them to the Water Jets Volunteer Coordinator, Sarah Tate: [email protected]

Huge thank you to Sarah for coordinating all of our volunteers! Thank you all for your participation!
