Hello Hunter Oaks Water Jets Families!

Can you believe summer is right around the corner? We are looking forward to a fantastic Swim Team season. This email is packed with info we hope will be helpful to you.

This year we will be in Division II. We have about 170 swimmers - many returning - and lots of new neighbors too. We are thrilled to welcome back Coach Chris. Some of you may remember him from 2 seasons ago.

We are excited to have some new members on our Swim Team Board this year. Rebekah Page and Lisa Jordan joined Molly Gliemmo and our fearless leader - Maggie Tomlinson.

We are MOST excited about our awesome new online portal - SwimTopia! SwimTopia will be your BEST source of up-to-date information and swim team news. This is where you will go to:

• Get our meet and practice schedule
• Order swag and Water Jets gear (we have some exciting new items this year... coming soon!).
• Volunteer for meets
• Log your child's meet attendance (if you already know of meets your kids will miss due to vacations or prior obligations, please go in and mark it so we can prepare accordingly. We do NOT need you to tell us if you will miss practices).

In general, if you have a question, SwimTopia should be your first stop. There is a app, as well as a desktop version. Mark your calendar for some important upcoming dates:

• Friday, May 10th - Last day to order your Water Jets suit. This suit is their uniform and required in order for your child to participate. Please contact the Carolina Swim Shop to order. Last years suit is fine to use as well. All girls will be required to wear a cap at the meets. You can purchase those at the parent meeting or meets.
• Tuesday, May 14th @ 7pm Beckford Glenn pool deck - PARENT MEETING! This meeting is for ALL parents: new and returning. We will distribute team apparel as well. Because this meeting is on the pool deck - we ask that ONLY adults are in attendance.
• Monday, May 20th - First Day of practice. For new parents: only kids are allowed in the pool area. We ask that parents wait outside the fence during practice. It's a great chance for you to socialize with neighbors and meet new summer friends... and it gives the coaches the space they need to manage our team. Thank you for understanding.
• Monday, June 3rd - Mock Meet (Team Picture before the meet begins!). For new parents: this is a trial meet where we work out the kinks and let the kids experience how a meet runs before we swim against another team.

Please be on the lookout for an additional message gauging interest in various other Water Jets apparel. This is a fun way to show your support of our neighborhood team!
